Over Sand Vehicle (OSV) Project Team Leader
As the team leader for the Over-Sand Vehicle (OSV) Project for my Intro to Engineering Course, I was in charge of overseeing the entire group of 8 students including myself in designing, prototyping and finally constructing a functioning, semi-autonomous OSV.
Through this experience, I have had to organize and strategically delegate responsibilities to team members, keeping in mind each team member's strengths and weaknesses as well as take into consideration their role in the overall team dynamic. I have also had to resolve conflicts with group members and ensure that all members of the team were contributing equally to the end product.
I have utilized GANTT charts, Google Drive and various messaging software such as Groupme to keep the team organized, on-track and knowledgeable on the state of the project and their individual roles. And, I have had to make the final decision on many of the design elements for the OSV.
Finally, I also helped produce the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings for the vehicle, produce the design for 3D printed materials and oversaw the production of several deliverables to the professor such as PowerPoint presentations, a written report and a poster.

OSV
As a team, we were in charge of designing an OSV that had to accomplish the following:
Navigate semi-autonomously to a pool of water in the sand arena
​Avoid obstacles in the arena​​​
Detect the pH of the pool
Report the pH back to us
Neutralize the pool
Complete all tasks within 5 minutes

As a team, we also had to complete multiple technical reports, presentations and a poster describing our progress, design decisions and our design process. We also presented our poster describing our entire design process over the semester.
